Changelog 0.4

- 2024-09-13

This week's release brings a file explorer into the Navigator, a richer package share page, and continued rollout of package publishing & installation in the IDE.

Unified file explorer and Navigator

Your program files are now right where you expect them to be—under each program in the Navigator. You can add, remove, rename, copy-paste, or drag 'n drop files right from the Navigator.

Share page improvements

The share page—e.g. membrane.io/share/membrane/github-repo-monitor—now links to referenced packages rather than showing the file tree for those packages. That way it's clear you need to install separate packages to use as connections. We also added info icons with tooltip descriptions of nodes and connections for thoseless familiar with the Membrane nomenclature.

Improved package share page

Refresh package publisher/installer to avoid stale data

Previously, after publishing or installing connections for a package, the parent package view would not refresh.

Fixed duplicate file bug in package publisher

We fixed a UI bug that sometimes showed duplicate files in the list of changes when publishing a package.

Temporarily disabled legacy program sharing

Previously, you could right click a program in the Navigator and select Share With... to send it to someone directly (no installation required—it would just show up in their program list). We'll bring back program collaboration for teams down the road, but it'll look a bit different.
